Rotterdam, The Netherlands — September 29 to October 1, 2026 — The 2026 World Methanol Conference, organized by the Chemical Market Analysis of Dow Jones Energy, brought together technology licensors, engineering firms, project developers, and chemical producers and traders from around the world. Delegates exchanged views on global methanol feedstock costs, the Asian methanol market, the European green methanol market, the MTBE market, methanol projects in the Americas, e-methanol projects, and waste-to-methanol projects.

Dr. Mu Xin, Deputy General Manager of SYN, was invited to deliver a keynote presentation entitled "DMTO Technology and CTO/MTO Industry Development." The address reviewed the R&D and industrialization journey of DMTO technology, outlined the current status and trends of the CTO/MTO industry, and demonstrated the advancement, reliability, and globally leading commercial track record of DMTO technology. It also explored DMTO's application potential in downstream upgrading to high-end and differentiated products, green and low-carbon process routes, and the digital and intelligent transformation of chemical engineering. During the expert panel, Dr. Mu engaged in in-depth discussions with participants on the transition of the methanol industry and the build-out of the green methanol value chain. Dr. Wei Xing, Deputy Director of Overseas Business from SYN also joined the delegation. During the conference, our company had extensive in-depth exchanges of views with the delegates on CTO/MTO technology and its application in the green chemical industry.
